Worth a Visit

Friendly village local overlooking pretty green with wandering sheep in classic coach-trip country; Black Sheep, Tetleys and a guest, decent wines by the glass and enjoyable home-made pubby food (till 6pm Sun), cheerful efficient service, opened-up bar with varnished woodwork, dining area; quiz first Sun of month; children and clean dogs welcome, Ryedale Folk Museum next door and handy for Farndale walks, newly built bedrooms, also small site for caravans, open all day (but may close Mon and Tues in winter)
