Well run 18th-c stone-built village inn with attractive open-plan interior; very good fairly priced food with emphasis on fresh fish/seafood from daily changing menu, a couple of well kept ales such as Born in the Borders, good wine list and speciality gins, friendly efficient service, cosy bare boards bar with scatter cushions on bench seats, immaculate dining areas, log fire; background music; children welcome, no dogs inside, picnic-sets in sheltered garden behind, nice views, comfortable bedrooms, open all day
