Stylishly renovated village pub; light beams, exposed stonework and log fires, cosy bar with tractor-seat stools at counter serving four real ales (always Butcombe), decent wines and cocktails, happy hour 4-6pm, pubby food along with pizzas from feature oven, lunchtime/early evening deal (Mon-Fri), friendly helpful young staff, various dining areas including upstairs raftered room and cellar bar with fine 14th-c vaulted ceiling; live music and quiz nights; children welcome, circular picnic-sets on paved terrace, open all day
