Belgravia pub with a civilised and friendly atmosphere and enjoyable food and drink

At the heart of Belgravia, this is a stylish and busy place in well heeled Elizabeth Street. The ground-floor bar has miscellaneous Edwardian-style dining chairs around wooden tables on stripped parquet flooring, and architectural prints and antlers on panelled or painted walls; open fires and lovely flower arrangements. Attentive staff serve Beavertown Gamma Ray and Sharps Doom Bar on handpump, 32 wines by the glass, 17 malt whiskies and ten cocktails. The more formal dining room upstairs has smart upholstered wooden chairs around white-clothed tables, candles in wall holders, a few prints, house plants and window blinds; background music and TV. In warm weather, the floor-to-ceiling glass doors are pulled back to the street where there are cordoned-off tables and chairs on the pavement. Disabled access to the bar but not to the loos.
