Morpeth Arms

The good pub guide review

Victorian pub facing the Thames with view over to MI6 headquarters from upstairs Spying Room; etched and cut glass, lots of mirrors, paintings, prints and old photographs (some of British spies); well kept Youngs ales and guests, decent choice of wines and fair value pubby food, welcoming efficient staff, built on site of Milbank Prison and cells remain below; seats outside (and a lot of traffic), handy for Tate Britain and Thames Path walkers, open (and food) all day, can get very busy weekday evenings.
