Creeper-clad Victorian stone pub next to the village church; enjoyable good value food from sandwiches up, Arkells and guests kept well, over 20 gins, friendly efficient service, compact interconnecting rooms with mix of furnishings, log fires including two-way woodburner; daily newspapers, free wi-fi; children and dogs welcome, picnic-sets out at front and in large well maintained garden with paved terrace and play area, closed Mon, otherwise open (and food) all day, kitchen shuts 5pm Sun
