Welcoming 18th-c beamed and carpeted country pub, good value traditional home-made food (not Sun evening) in bar or conservatory restaurant, well kept McMullens ales, friendly helpful service, woodburner and open fire; children and dogs (in bar) welcome, disabled access, big garden with terrace, boules and plenty for kids including swings and playhouse, closed Mon, otherwise open all day
