Steps up to heavily black-beamed village local; huge polished flagstones and massive stone walls in cosy bar, carpeted lounge/dining area, three well kept ales such as St Austell, Sharps and Timothy Taylors Landlord, good reasonably priced food (not lunchtimes Mon-Thurs) cooked by landlord including stone-baked pizzas Mon and Fri evenings, friendly staff and regulars; live music, free wi-fi; children and dogs welcome, front terrace, farmers' market and brunch first Sat of month, handy for Cotehele (NT), open all day Fri-Sun, from 2pm other days
