Smart pub with plenty of Victorian/Edwardian features; well kept Adnams, St Austell, Woodfordes and four guests, craft beers and decent wines by the glass, sensibly priced home-made food (not Sun evening) including some italian choices (good pizzas) and deal nights such as Tues curry and Thurs steak, friendly service, two-level main bar, parquet and mosaic floor, panelling, big mirrors and impressive lamps, handsome leather wall benches and period fireplaces; some live music; children and dogs welcome, disabled access, terrace seating, open all day
