Former coaching house run by McLean Inns; generous helpings of popular reasonably priced food including pizzas, burgers and good Sun lunch, four well kept ales such as Marstons Wainwright and Sharps Doom Bar from well stocked bar, friendly efficient young staff, opened-up split-level interior with rugs on bare boards, candles on tables, comfortable seating and lots of pictures, mirrors and other bits and pieces; weekend live music; children and dogs welcome, nice outside area, seven bedrooms, open all day, food till 6pm Sun
