Old ivy-clad pub with character bar: cosy corners, dark panelling, pews and country chairs, open fire in Edwardian fireplace, four well kept ales such as Brains Rev James and Timothy Taylors Landlord, organic bottled cider and several wines by the glass, decent food in long café/dining room with another open fire; background music; children and dogs welcome, tables under parasols in beer garden, open all day from 9am for breakfast
