Neat 1930s pub with various snug areas; enjoyable food from varied menu, real ales such as Greene King, Fullers, Sharps and Shepherd Neame, good wines and coffee, red patterned carpet, gleaming brasses and open fire; quiet background music; picnic-sets and heated wooden booths in well tended garden, river and canalside walks, closed Sun evening

Paul Jonsson Woking

Something of a hidden gem, definitely off the beaten track! Have been here on several occasions and have enjoyed the traditional feel of this pub, with it's cosy corners, booths and open fires. A wide range of beers including a favourite of mine, London Pride. The food is very much above average and in the past the pub had a Michelin star, and it shows. The car park is a little small but there are adjacent roads where you could park if necessary. The staff have always been friendly which can make or break a pub. Recommended! Paul Jonsson, Woking
