Popular early 19th-c hillside village pub with lovely valley views; four unspoilt little connecting rooms, interesting photographs including some of Laurie Lee who was a regular (his books for sale), log fire, good imaginative food (highish prices) along with pub favourites, pizzas served Mon night, well kept Uley ales and guests, local farm cider/perry and decent wines by the glass, friendly prompt service; some live music; children, walkers and dogs welcome, nice garden taking in the view, open all day (till 1am Fri, Sat), no food Sun evening, Mon lunchtime
