Village pub owned by local farming family (they also have the Red Lion at Bishop's Norton and Royal Exchange in Hartpury); enjoyable well priced food from sandwiches up including set lunch Weds-Sat, ales such as Butcombe and Wye Valley, Weston's cider, bar with sofas and woodburner, spacious restaurant and modern conservatory, attached barn for functions; occasional quiz nights, free wi-fi; children and dogs welcome, pretty garden, open all day Fri-Sun, closed Mon lunchtime, no evening food Sun
