The pub was recommended to us whilst on holiday in Appledore. Made a specific journey to the pub which upon arrival appeared very nice, however was advised by the licensee that it would be at least 30 minutes before our food order could be taken and to take a seat. Having waited 40 minutes with no staff member taking our order, we enquired how long it would be before our order could be made and was advised that it would be another 10 minutes. Having overheard the same excuse being used for other customers who were waiting to make orders, we gave up in our wait and departed, thoroughly disappointed with the service or lack of it. There was a steady stream of persons giving up waiting and leaving the premises totally disenchanted. Very nice pub with a lovely atmosphere but not backed up with the service to recommend to anyone !!! Complete waste of time and money in using fuel to get to this pub.
