18th-c village local run by same friendly family since 1953; good value honest food (not Sun evening) from good lunchtime cobs to steaks, well kept Bass and three interesting guests, real cider; tile-floored tap room, carpeted snug, inner bar with Victorian prints, larger and lighter side room, nice old settle in entrance corridor, open fires; darts and dominoes, some live music; children welcome, dogs in the evening, disabled access, sheltered cottage garden and cobbled front courtyard, separate play area, open all day Fri-Sun
