Recently refurbished 17th-c stone-built village pub, popular food (not Mon) from french landlord-chef including open sandwiches, pub favourites and blackboard specials, Tues evening fish and chips, Sun carvery, well kept Hook Norton and a couple of guests, welcoming efficient service, beamed bar with log fire, separate dining room; some live music; children and dogs welcome, tables on terrace and in big garden bordering River Stour, good nearby walks, open all day Fri and Sat, till 6pm Sun, closed Mon lunchtime
