Converted miller's sandstone cottage (original windmill demolished 1898); friendly and welcoming, with eight well kept ales including Caledonian Deuchars IPA, good choice of wines by the glass and ample helpings of popular reasonably priced food from sandwiches up, efficient service, two low-beamed traditional flagstoned rooms and extended carpeted dining area, log fire, interesting old photographs and history; children and dogs welcome, tables on terraces and revamped side area, good local walks, open (and food) all day, gets crowded evenings/weekends when parking limited
