Creeper-clad stone pub in very popular spot above fine beach, outstanding country, sea and cliff views from huge garden over road with lots of seating; comfortably basic big bar with raised drinking area, beams, flagstones and good log fire, several real ales including own Isle of Purbeck (Aug beer festival), local cider, decent wines by the glass and fairly pubby blackboard food served quickly by young staff; darts and pool in side area; background music, machines, sports TV; over-8s and dogs welcome, just off coast path near to Old Harry Rocks, can get very busy on summer weekends and parking complicated (NT car park), ten bedrooms (Studland Bay views from front ones), open (and food) all day
