Miners Arms

The good pub guide review

Cosy stone-built 16th-c pub with traditional small rooms and passages, pubby furnishings and open fires, stories of smugglers and ghosts, fine old wall painting of Elizabeth I in back bar, good choice of popular reasonably priced food from sandwiches/baked potatoes up, St Austell, Sharps and Skinners kept well, friendly helpful staff; background music, board games; children and dogs (in bar areas) welcome, seating in sheltered front cobbled forecourt, back terrace and garden, open (and food) all day.
