Horse & Jockey

The good pub guide review

Extended 19th-c roadside pub with enjoyable good value food from varied menu including tapas-style dishes, eight well kept ales including a house beer from Woods named after resident chocolate labrador Blaze, teas and coffees, friendly helpful service, well divided open-plan interior with standing timbers and mix of furniture on wood or carpeted floors, woodburners and some interesting bits and pieces; children, dogs and muddy boots welcome, some tables outside, handy for Sandstone Trail and Llangollen Canal, open (and food) all day.
