Attractive and welcoming thatched village pub much improved under current licensees; opened-up beamed interior with log fire in large fireplace, five well kept changing ales and good locally sourced home-made food from lunchtime sandwiches and snacks up; darts and board games, various charity events including Tues quiz, beer/music festival Aug Bank Holiday; children, walkers and dogs welcome (pub dogs are Digger and Pickle), seats out on small front terrace and in big landscaped garden behind, gallows-style inn sign spanning the road, open (and some food) all day Fri-Sun, closed Mon lunchtime
