Friendly and relaxed little 1940s red-brick pub close to the quay, old-fashioned lived-in interior with nautical and other memorabilia, good choice of popular reasonably priced home-made food including fresh fish (best to book weekends), bar nibbles Sun lunchtime, Sharps Doom Bar and a couple of well kept local guests from brick and timber servery; TV, daily newspapers; dogs welcome, seats on small front and side terraces, Sun market in adjacent car park, open all day
