The good pub guide review
Old stone village pub tucked away behind the church; four smartly presented little rooms, each with a warming coal fire, thriving front bar with scrubbed tables, large rug on bare boards and some stained-glass panelling, well kept real ales such as Bowland, Moorhouses and Timothy Taylors, several wines by the glass and enjoyable reasonably priced food from sandwiches up, friendly helpful service; daily newspapers; children and dogs welcome, picnic-sets out on front cobbles and in the sunny back garden, good Ribble Valley walks nearby, bedrooms and cottage, open all day, no food Mon except bank holidays.
