Traditional 16th-c pub in very pretty village; local beers such as Buntingford and Hadham and enjoyable Caribbean food (licensees are from Trinidad), low beams, sloping walls and big inglenook; occasional music nights and other events such as quiz every month; big garden with country views, handy for Benington Lordship Gardens, two cottages next door, open until 7pm Sun (food till 6pm), closed Mon, Tues and lunchtime Weds.
