Popular low-ceilinged local with five real ales such as Adnams, Black Sheep, Courage and Sharps, a good choice of wines by the glass and enjoyable fairly traditional food at reasonable prices, plenty of tables in eating area, log fires, lovely views over wooded valley; children and dogs (in bar) welcome, award-winning flower-filled garden and lots of colourful hanging baskets and window boxes, open all day, no food Sun or Mon evenings.
