The good pub guide review

Delightful old pub in stunning location on the beach beneath Golden Cap (highest cliff on the south coast) by South West Coast Path; character interior in three smallish light rooms with padded wall seats, nice old wooden chairs and stools around scrubbed tables on bare boards, two woodburning stoves (one under a huge bressumer beam), tilley lamps, model ships and lots of historic local photos; Palmers Copper, Dorset Gold, IPA and guest ale on handpump, seven wines by the glass, 25 gins, 40-plus rums and cocktails, highly regarded food with focus on fresh fish/seafood; background music; children and dogs (in bar) welcome, three smart stylish bedrooms overlooking the sea, much prized tables on spacious front terrace, open (and food) all day.
