Popular railway-themed pub commemorating the long defunct Southwell line; ten well kept ales including Brewsters, Bass, Everards and Salopian (beer festivals), real ciders/perries, foreign bottled beers and good range of wines, snacky food such as pork pies; traditional opened-up bar with tiled or wood floor, settles and armchairs in quieter carpeted room, corridor drinking area, two open fires, panelling, lots of railway memorabilia and other odds and ends; quiz and live music nights (folk club third Thurs of month); children (till 9pm) and dogs welcome, back garden with wonderful mock-up of 1920s platform complete with track and buffers, on Robin Hood Way and Southwell Trail, open all day.
