Strode Arms

The good pub guide review

Pretty stone dining pub (former 15th-c farmhouse) overlooking village duck pond; rambling beamed rooms with log fires in handsome fireplaces, carpeted or flagstone floors, country furnishings, enjoyable generously served food from snacks up, four Wadworths ales, Thatcher's cider and decent wines by the glass, good friendly service; children, walkers and dogs welcome, seats on front terrace, well placed for East Somerset Railway (steam trains), open all day weekends.
