Refurbished dining inn/hotel in lovely position on Ullswater with local ales, pleasing food and plenty of seating on two waterside terraces; various Thwaites ales, good range of mainly traditional food nicely done, genuinely welcoming staff; spacious interior with proper little bar with stools against rough hewn counter and dining area leading directly to ground-floor terrace with heaters, contemporary seating and lovely river views backed by fells; children welcome, dogs in bar & bedrooms, attractive bedrooms (room service), handy for Penrith and steamboat excursions on Ullswater, open (and food) all day.

A stunning property situated in a fantastic location on the bank of the River Eamont, with 17 fabulous guest bedrooms a spectacular outdoor terrace with views that over the Lakeland. Enjoy a Thwaites beer at the fabulous bar and food in the restaurant. **The Crown Inn, Pooley Bridge is open for business; bridge improvement work is due to start in September 2019, and we'll add further updates as the project happens.
