Well run 18th-c stone-built village inn with attractive open-plan interior; very good fairly priced food with emphasis on fresh fish/seafood from daily changing menu, a couple of well kept ales such as Born in the Borders, good wine list and 40 speciality gins, friendly efficient service, cosy bare boards bar with scatter cushions on bench seats, immaculate dining areas, log fire; background music; children and dogs (in garden) welcome, picnic-sets in sheltered beer garden and out front, nice views, six comfortable bedrooms, open all day.
