Popular and welcoming thatched pub near lovely sandy beach; bar with sofas in bow windows, old dining chairs and tables, built-in cushioned wall seats, button-back armchairs by woodburning stove, decorations including bird prints, horsebrasses, mirrors and farming implements, similarly furnished dining room, well kept Palmers Copper, Dorset Gold, IPA, Tally Ho, 200 and seasonal guests on handpump, 12 wines (including prosecco) by the glass, enjoyable food including sandwiches using seasonal local produce cooked by Dutch chef-landlord; background music and board games; children and dogs (in bar) welcome, rustic tables and chairs out in front, more in back garden with terrace, open all day in summer and gets busy at peak times.
