The good pub guide review
Wonderfully old-fashioned survivor in remote hamlet by historic church facing the Black Mountains; friendly stable-door bar with log fire each end, a few mats and comfortable armchairs on stone floor, lots of ornaments and knick-knacks, photos of past village events and other pictures, books for sale/exchange, games including quoits, cards, darts and devil among the tailors, bottled Wye Valley and cider, no food or credit cards; dogs welcome, open from noon weekends and 5.30pm weekdays.
