Cosy whitewashed country dining pub refurbished in 2017 under welcoming new management; up to five well kept changing ales, proper cider and good range of wines and gins, generous helpings of popular reasonably priced food including good Sun roasts (till 7.30pm), friendly efficient service, woodburners in all three rooms, beams and some exposed stonework, settles and other country furniture on old quarry tiles or wood floors; occasional live music, darts; children and dogs welcome, streamside (River Hamps) garden with footbridge to car park, closed Mon, otherwise open (and food) all day.
