The good pub guide review
Old community-owned dining pub under new management in lovely unspoilt village; sympathetically refurbished beamed rooms including pitched-roof dining area, country furniture on bare boards, open fires, four regional ales such as Loddon, Shotover and XT, 16 wines by the glass and good range of gins, well regarded interesting food from shortish but varied menu, friendly accommodating service; background and some live music; children and dogs welcome, big garden dropping away from decked terraces, superb views over RSPB Otmoor reserve and good walks, open all day.
The Abingdon Arms is a food-led pub offering fantastic local food and drink, a warm welcome and one of the best pub gardens in Oxfordshire. Nestled high up above Otmoor Nature Reserve, our garden affords incredible views across the moor. We use seasonal, local produce to create our regularly changing food menus. We have four local bitters on tap at any time and an extensive wine list. We welcome wrmley both diners, drinkers and walkers alike.
