16th-c country pub set in lovely cycling country high on the North Downs; low-ceilinged linked rooms up and down steps, fresh flowers and candles, popular locally sourced food from sandwiches and pub standards up (till 7pm Sun, booking advised), own Titsey beers from on-site microbrewery plus a couple of guests such as Pilgrim and Westerham tapped from the cask (tasters offered), a dozen wines by the glass, good friendly service, big log fire in one room, tea room selling local produce; children and dogs welcome, disabled access, terrace and garden with far-reaching rural views, good local walks, open all day, Sun breakfast from 9am.
