Wooden Walls of Old England

The good pub guide review

Cosy thatch and stone village pub dating from the 15th c and named as a tribute to the navy; four well kept ales and good choice of wines by the glass, generous helpings of reasonably priced home-made food (not Sun evening, Mon), friendly staff, beams and open fire, Northamptonshire skittles in one room; background music, sports TV; children welcome, big back garden with part-covered terrace, closed Mon lunchtime, otherwise open all day.
