Anne of Cleves

The good pub guide review

Monks' chantry dating from the 14th c and gifted to Anne of Cleves by Henry VIII; heavy beams, flagstones and mullioned windows, tapestries, swords and other bits and pieces on ochre walls, chunky tables, character chairs and settles, log fire, well kept Everards and guests, decent wines and generously served food including famed local pork pies, small end dining room; background music; children and dogs welcome, tables in pretty little walled garden, open all day, no food Sun evening.
