Windsor Castle

The good pub guide review

Traditionally restored 19th-c pub directly behind Westminster Cathedral (was the Cardinal); modern etched glass and rebuilt screened snugs matching the original architect's drawings, fine Victorian moulded ceiling, open fires, well kept/priced Sam Smiths beers and enjoyable good value food (not Sun) such as fish and chips and steak and kidney pudding, parquet-floored back dining lounge with half-panelled and papered walls, another bar upstairs (not always open); no children, open all day.
