The good pub guide review
Spacious beamed village pub dating back to the 18th c; well kept Bass, Dancing Duck, Sharps Doom Bar and guest ale, good fairly traditional food at reasonable prices from sandwiches/baguettes up, friendly attentive staff, main bar plus snug with woodburner, gin/cocktail bar and garden room; children and dogs (in some parts) welcome, terrace seating, closed Mon, lunchtimes Tues and Wed, otherwise open all day, no food Sun evening, Mon.
The builders are starting work June 2011 on repairs. Small front bar should be open by end June 2011. If you have any suggestions or comments we would love to hear them.
