Family-run slate-clad inn on Loch Lomond's quiet side; beams, timbers and panelling, pubby bar with lots of old photographs, farm tools, stuffed animals and collection of grandfather clocks, log fire, good choice of enjoyable food from sandwiches and snacks up (no bookings), up to four changing Scottish beers and over 50 whiskies, restaurant, coffee shop and ice-cream parlour, village shop; children and dogs (in garden) welcome, plenty of tables outside around ancient oak tree; popular with West Highland Way walkers, attractive bedrooms, cottages and pods, open (and food) all day.
