The good pub guide review
Beautifully restored part-thatched golden-stone inn on the edge of the Cotswolds ' most customers are here to enjoy the sublime Michelin-starred food, but this is also a proper pub with regulars around the bar and real ales on handpump; beams and timbering, raftered ceilings, flagstones, polished floorboards, a leather chesterfield in front of an inglenook fireplace, farmhouse or wheelback chairs around a mix of tables, cushioned window seats, some stall-type areas with oak settles and relaxed, informal atmosphere, restaurant in modern conservatory-style room with white leather chairs and tall glass doors leading out to rustic picnic-sets and wooden seats and tables; currently open Thurs-Sun, closed Mon-Weds and lunchtime Thurs.
