Hotel dating from the 16th c in pretty Loch Tay village; comfortable traditional front lounge with warm log fire (there's a poem pencilled by Burns himself on the chimney breast), dozens of malts helpfully arranged alphabetically, friendly attentive staff, modern restaurant with balcony, also back bar and terrace overlooking River Tay with enjoyable food from lunchtime soup and sandwiches to grills, Inveralmond Ossian and decent wines by the glass; pool and winter darts, juke box, TV, fruit machine; children and dogs welcome, 40 bedrooms plus lodges, open (and food) all day.
