Plough

The good pub guide review

Quaint partly thatched pub known and loved for its good food and friendly owners at end of quiet green in tucked-away village; traditional low-beamed rooms kept spic and span, wheelback chairs and plush red wall banquettes around dark pubby tables, solid-fuel stove in a brick fireplace, three changing ales and several wines by the glass, well liked food (not Sun evening) from blackboard menu; background music; children welcome till 8pm, picnic-sets out at front and in sheltered cottagey garden, closed Mon.
