Bright and welcoming village inn under new management from August 2020; has had a contemporary revamp while keeping aspects of its 17th-c origins; traditional pub food, well kept Arkells ales and good wines by the glass, welcoming helpful staff, open-plan beamed bar with log fire, cushioned wall seat, church chairs and scrubbed oak tables, Cotswold stone or pale painted walls, restaurant; children and dogs (in bar and bedrooms) welcome, seating out on green, eight stylish and well appointed bedrooms, open all day weekends from noon (from 8.30am weekdays with a break 3-5pm).
