Relaxed bar in former shop; solid rustic tables and chairs and some red leather chesterfields on bare boards, modern artwork and pendant lighting, woodburner, tractor-seat stools at corrugated-iron-fronted counter serving two or three well kept ales and a traditional cider, generous helpings of good freshly made food from sandwiches and sharing boards up, reasonable prices, friendly helpful staff; background and live music; children and dogs (theirs is Bruce) welcome, enclosed back terrace, open all day from 9am for breakfast, no food Sun evening.
