The good pub guide review
Popular 13th-c thatched inn restored after 2016 fire; low beams, bulgy walls and brick floors, woodburners (one in inglenook), much liked food at fair prices from lunchtime sandwiches and traditional choices up, cask-tapped ales such as Dartmoor and Teignworthy, real cider and a dozen wines by the glass from good list, helpful friendly staff; quiz nights; children and dogs (in bar) welcome, picnic-sets and flower-filled troughs out at front, pretty Dartmoor village with lovely tree-covered green, good walks, five attractively refurbished bedrooms, open all day.
