Comfortable part-thatched pub now run by two brothers; original part dating back to 1650 with low ceilings, original floor tiles and open fire in brick fireplace, upholstered chairs, cushioned wall seats and settles, Old Speckled Hen, Timothy Taylors Landlord, Woodfordes, good choice of wines and malt whiskies, well liked British, with some Greek influences, food (not Sun evening) in converted stables with photographs of the pub and surrounding area, friendly efficient service; occasional live music; children welcome, benches out at front, more seats on side terrace, lovely village.
