Duke of Sussex

The good pub guide review

Attractive Victorian local with unexpectedly large back garden, tables under parasols, nicely laid-out plants and carefully positioned lighting and heaters; simply furnished bar with some original etched glass, chapel and farmhouse chairs around scrubbed pine or dark wood tables, huge windows overlooking Acton Green, horseshoe counter serving ales such as Reunion, Sambrooks, Twickenham and Wimbledon, around 30 wines by the glass and 18 malt whiskies, interesting modern food including sharing platters, dining room with booths, chandeliers and splendid skylight; children and dogs (in bar) welcome, open (and food) all day.
