Traditional 16th-c pub opposite the church; low beams, uneven floors and a cosy fires, two or three well kept changing ales such as Theakstons and enjoyable pubby food including bargain OAP lunch (Thurs, Fri), friendly attentive service, carpeted dining area to one side; children, walkers and dogs welcome, picnic-sets by road, open all day.
